A PK23™ szék ötlete eredetileg Poul Kjærholm 1954-ben született, de egészen a közelmúltig vázlatok formájában maradt meg. A széles, alacsony profilú, laza beszélgetésekhez szabott szék függőlegesen osztott laminált furnér héjjal rendelkezik mind az ülőfelületen, mind a háttámlán, amelyet elegáns összekötő részletek hidalnak át. A PK23 szék Kjærholm tervezési útjának egy evolúciós szakaszát képviseli, ötvözve a korábbi PK4 és PK0 modellek elemeit, miközben előrevetíti azt a strukturális és minimalista stílust, amely később meghatározta munkáit. A PK23™ szék laminált furnér héja az ülőfelülethez és a háttámlához három változatban kapható: fekete festett kőris furnér, dió furnér vagy tölgy furnér. A dupla konzolos összekötő részletek elegánsan áthidalják a háttámla közötti válaszfalat. A szék alapja rozsdamentes acélból készül minden héjanyagtípushoz, vagy fekete porszórt acél lábazattal, csak a feketére festett kőris változathoz.
